Graduation!

on Friday, March 23, 2012
So I just came back from a momentous occasion: my college graduation. It was 3 long hours of sitting around and some minutes of walking in not-so-comfortable shoes. But despite sitting around and listen to people talk, watch fellow batchmates head up, going up the stage to receive a rolled up piece of paper, take a bow and head back to re-take your seat and watch more people head up, it was indeed a celebration that resonated the lyrics of the school song:

Eyes are dry at the last goodbye, this is the Ateneo Way.

There surely was a lack of sadness, but of exhilaration and camaraderie amongst fellow graduates garbed in togas. Of course, to cap off the milestone, claiming our Latin diplomas and heading off with the family and Kai to a much deserved and anticipated dinner at Kamameshi House, one of my favorite Japanese restaurants and forever a place of celebration for the family!

Thank you so much for sharing this day with me, and congratulations to everyone else for graduating! :D
