のだめカンタービレ。(のだめかんたあびれ)Nodame Kantaabire. trans. Nodame Cantabile.

I don't remember when exactly I started liking this, or even remember how I got into it, but this manga-turned-anime-turned-live action is, admittedly, a great piece of work. What makes it awesome is the fact that it somehow revives classical music and makes it worthwhile to listen to. There are a number of in-depth analysis of the songs played, and not to mention the love-hate relationship revolving around Chiaki Shinichi and Noda "Nodame" Megumi.

True to the genres of the manga (comedy, slice of life and romance), the live action has its share of exaggerations on the comedy side of things, most prominently Nodame's facial and speech expressions. ("Gyaboo!" @.@)

I guess in the long run what made me enjoy this bit of awesomeness was one of the lead character actors, Tamaki Hiroshi. The charisma, charm and overall stupendous grasp of Chiaki's personality caught on, and it didn't disappoint from start to finish. So kudos to him!

The music performed here are just inspiring~ Thank goodness for classical orchestra songs! ^o^/

写真実験。(しゃしんじっけん)Shashin Jikken. trans. Photography Experiment.

I came early to school as was the usual scenario for our CS152 class so I decided to continue tinkering around with my camera's soft background and focus feature.

When I got home I feasted on some butter cookies!! Mmmmmm Butter cookies. ~u~

予期せぬ夕食。(よきせぬゆうしょく)Yoki se nu Yuushoku. trans. Unexpected Dinner.

So earlier this evening the family and I had plans to go eat at Max's to avail of that Chicken-All-You-Want promo. But due to the long line we decided to eat elsewhere; at Super Bowl of China nearby. Decided to experiment with my digicam and took some pictures~ Hooray for using the soft background option. xD

学期のレポート。(がっきのれぽおと)Gakki no Repooto. trans. Semester Report.

My sole Saturday class - CS 177: Computer Graphics Programming taught by Sir Paul Gadi- from 1-4pm started about 20 minutes late and ended almost 30 minutes early. The reason for this would be due to the new computer OS that technically lacked the programs we needed to use for class (Visual C# and TortoiseSVN and some XNA-related thing). Howell.

Because I wasn't checking my phone during that time I didn't get to see the messages and missed calls KAI left me. Apparently she didn't have her 3-6pm class and hoped to meet up. T~T My bad. Dx But worry not, worry not. We scheduled to meet on Monday after my class.

I just up and realized that this time around I didn't share my round of classes this semester. So now would probably be a good time to do just that. ^^b Besides the sad fact that i have a Saturday class (an afternoon class no less! D8), my schedule has its pros and cons despite my being in the 4th batch during enlistment. On Mondays, Wednesday and Fridays, I have one class (technically two but not really xP): CS 152A&B: Computer Organization I & II. The witty (and not to mention infamous) Sir Diy is my professor there. Tuesdays and Thursdays are hectic with three classes: PH 101: Philosophy of the Human Person I, HI165: Rizal and the Emergence of the Philippine Nation and CS 123: Introduction to Software Engineering. Professors for the subject are Fr. David, Fr. Arcilla and Sir Teknomo respectfully.

This semester will be full of readings and projects that I can hopefully cope with. So good luck to me! *prays* I'm in for a few hectic months of schoolwork. And I just realized that all my professors this semester are guys. xD

セバスチャン散髪。(せばすちゃんさんぱつ)Sebasuchan Sanpatsu. trans. The Sebastian Haircut.

An impromptu blog entry. Came back from the parlor and a new haircut! 8D As you guys know I plan to redo my Sebastian cosplay later this year and I wanted to try out having Sebastian's haircut for the lolz. If all goes well I'll have it cut this way again in a few months' time when my hair starts growing again.

So here are some pictures! I should get red contacts too. It looks better when I don't wear my glasses. xDDD

And finally, finally! Another special birthday today!!! Tennis no Oujisama's mangaka, Konomi Takeshi celebrates his birthday!! HAPPY HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!! ^o^/

二つのロリポップ。(ふたつのおりぽっぷ)Futatsu no Roripoppu. trans. Two Lollipops.

So today I passed by 7-11 before heading to school and bought myself some more lollipops. Orange and Grape this time around. I immediately feasted on the Orange one and saved the Grape for later.

When I got to class early I decided to take some pictures! For one thing I know that my friend Keisuke looooooves Grape. He told me so last night when I shared that I'd be getting more lollipops for myself later.

Then after I took a short detour to check out the second day of the Samba Club auditions before zooming off to meet Kai for a light snack over at Jollibee. She showed me the new video camera she got that she'll be using for her Film classes and we ended up taking some videos. Yei~

ロリポップ。(ろりぽっぷ)Roripoppu. trans. Lollipop.

Today after my only class I decided to visit my old high school. I found out that my old club was having auditions so I went to join them. A lot of students auditioned today, and more will be auditioning tomorrow. Ah, the nostalgia.

On the way home, I passed by 7-11 to realize that I wanted a lollipop so I purchased a Strawberry Chupa Chups worth Php10.

I blame Hayami-sensei from Team Batista 2 who made me want a lollipop. xP

A little something that's been on my mind lately. I've been doodling a sign lately that says exactly that. xDD

サマーキャンプ。(さまあきゃんぷ)Samaa Kyanpu. trans. Summer Camp.

Reminisced the days of yesteryears the other day when I fished out a brown envelope while looking for random things to post for my blog. The brown envelope contained a handful of items that brought me back to the summer of 2007.

The DLSU CCS Summer Camp. I along with five other of my batchmates from my high school agreed to attend the week-long camp at DLSU Manila for fun and learning.

I took a few pictures of the stuff inside:

First are my two certificates. Why two you may ask. Well, if you can read the headings there above my name you'll find Certificate of Recognition, one that all the campers receive, and Early Bird Award. You see sometime in the middle of the week we were asked to vote amongst one another who would be the best person/couple for a particular award. And apparently, I was the one who garnered the award. This was probably because I was the very first one to arrive at several instances during the camp. xDD

Next is my huge ass ID we used for the week-long camp. The strap attached to each of our IDs indicated the team color we were assigned to. So in case you're color blind I belonged to the pink team. xDDD

And then we had a yearbook in CD format. Burned into the disk found in that jacket are various images, information and whatnot of the camp throughout the week. I was browsing through them last night and saw quite a few familiar faces; some of them went on to become blockmates of mine currently in college. ^___^b

最終変更。(さいしゅうけんこう)Saishuu Henkou. trans. Last Minute Changes.

Yesterday I spent the afternoon and evening with Kai. Our original plan was to go to the ToyCon but when we were in the area of SM Megamall, it was deathly traffic and there was full parking everywhere. Considering it was Father's Day this was kind of expected so we gave up and decided to go elsewhere; elsewhere being Eastwood!

--Apology to a few of our friends expecting us/hoping to surprise us there at the venue! There'll be other events for sure!

I drove this time around and had to get directions from my mom how to go here and there. I picked up Kai from Greenhills along the way so it's experience points for me hahaha!! So yeah, we went to Eastwood instead to watch Toy Story 3!!!!!

We hung around the 'old' Eastwood area (CitiWalk if you will) and had snacks at Dairy Queen and caught the 5:40 showing, then had dinner at Teriyaki Boy. Ah the craving for sushi. ~u~

And then pictures to celebrate the evening before I finally took Kai home. Lost opportunities came along, but all the same, we enjoyed things because we had each other to spend time with.

外泊。(がいはく)Gaihaku. trans. Sleepover.

Yesterday I went to an impromptu sleepover at my girlfriend's house since both of us technically didn't have any classes - never mind if there were classes today!! - and because we just had to see each other. A lot of the time there are instances when we need comfort and love and reassurance from the other that things like these are just what does the trick. After all, schoolwork was piling up.

So it didn't take me until past 5 in the afternoon to up and leave the house - since Kai was insisting that I shouldn't go. But I was convinced otherwise to ask her mom if I could hitch a ride with her to their place (and I shall thank a certain person with ESP to help me with that).

It almost amuses me that a lot of the time Kai usually has a high sense of pride that it usually takes a while before she admits that she's just being prideful about something before telling you her real thoughts or feelings about something. And in the year and seven months we've been together I've had to handle that time and time again.

Ah, ain't love so amusing this way? Snuggling just makes everything feel so much better. 8D

I LOVE YOU KAI!!! ^o^/

Oh yeah, just a note, we'll be going to the ToyCon tomorrow afternoon! We won't be cosplaying this time around and just browse around perhaps. Hope to see you guys there~

写真と心を読む。(しゃしんとこころをよむ)Shashin to Kokoro wo Yomu. trans. Photography and Reading Minds.

Today I pulled out my camera and actually took pictures of people and landscapes. During my lunch break at the cafeteria I spotted a group of foreign students together; literally a group of different cultured students - Japanese, Indian, Korean, American, French, what have you. What caught my attention though was the Japanese struck a stunning resemblance (minus the fat face OoO) to one Takigawa Eiji. Take a look for yourself. Top left, guy in white. He was eating so that should explain the puffed cheeks.

Afterwards, while waiting for my 1:30 class at Faura Building - after managing to see my friend Debbie - I decided to tinker around with the ISO and White Balance of my Digicam and took some pictures of the sky and foyer from the second floor of the building. Clouds are awesome.

And finally, what is with reading minds, you may ask. Simply put, it's to do with Kai. You see, things ended a bit awkwardly last night while we were chatting so the whole of today I was worried. So texting her was my only option to get to the bottom of everything. And a little something I learn subconsciously is know what she really means behind her texts. Like when she wanted me to go home I went to her at CSC. Ellipses never go wrong. ^__^ And some pictures followed! 8DD

The last thing I wanna mention are Tenimyu birthdays!! Seigaku 1st cast's Fuji Syuusuke, KIMERU and Rikkai 1st cast's Yagyuu Hiroshi, Baba Toru!! A happy, happy birthday to you both!!!

雨と通勤。(あめとつうきん)Ame to Tsuukin. trans. Rain and Commuting.

It's nearly midnight here and there can't be much to be said as to why I'm still up. But before I go into a short explanation as to why, I should probably move onto the topic I set out for this entry.

*points to top*

Okay. So, rain has been an issue these past few days. It's the rainy month so I can't really complain, but there are just times when it literally pours and I worry immensely about things at home. My windows don't close themselves so there's the off-chance that things situated near my window (both electronic and papers and the like) are bound to get drenched if left open on these kinds of occasions.

Earlier this afternoon on my commute home, I had plans of going to get some pictures taken for school purposes at one of the establishments across the main road from where my subdivision was. While I was there the rain began to really come down; as if it hadn't already done so while I was in the tricycle heading over there. -.-

But anyway. I had to wait for the rain to subside enough so I could walk home since the car available in the house broke down for one reason or another therefore couldn't be used to come pick me up. So I trudged through the rain and little floods under my semi-huge umbrella to head home.... only to find out there was a blackout in the subdivision.

-_________________-

To make matters worse, part of my room DID get wet from the onslaught of the rain since the windows were left open. It's a good thing I told my dad about it and he got the electrical stuff out of the way. Ugh. Ah well.

Anyway. Reason why I'm still up this late (besides the fact that my class will be at 12:30 in the afternoon) is because power was out so long that the family decided to head to Coffee Bean to snag internet time. Yosh. Power's back at home and now here I am.

別の雨の日。(べつのあめのひ)Betsu no Ame no Hi. trans. Another Rainy Day.

The very last day of vacation towards the middle of the month of June is shaping up to be another rainy day. As expected of the weather patterns here in the Philippines. Some drizzle, thunder and lightning here and there we could all do without but nature has its own way of doing things.

Not that we should start complaining, right? School's kicking off tomorrow so might as well prepare for it!

二つのお祝い。(ふたつのおいわい)Futatsu no Oiwai. trans. Two Celebrations.

So today after attending Mass my family and I went out to lunch to celebrate to occasions: my parents' wedding anniversary last Wednesday and Father's Day next Sunday since our dad won't be around then.

For lunch we went to Eastwood where we tried out a new restaurant: Mr. Kurosawa. My dad in particular was intrigued with one of the platters which we ended up having.

We were sitting by the mirror so it was easy to take pictures. Hahaha. xD The platter also came with 5 free Iced teas, and we were quite intrigued with the colors! 8DD

I forgot what exactly it had, but there was Japaella (Japanese paella), Mixed Tempura, Oysters (I think :P), Green Chicken and Tuna & Salmon Sashimi. It was worth it. ^__^b Wasn't able to take pictures of it when it arrived - we were all famished to care and just tucked right in!

It was worth the wait. ^_______________________^b

究極の夢。(きゅうきょくのゆめ)Kyuukyoku no Yume. trans. Ultimate Dream.

Today I was browsing through my little notebook of poetry and stumbled upon this poem I wrote down quite randomly one day a few years back. Hope you all enjoy it. ^___^

Ultimate Dream

Being just within reach,
is what defines an 'ultimate dream'.
Our ideal utopia,
the grandest fruit of our labor.
A dream nevertheless,
requiring an equal exchange.
Surpassing all time,
working for just another step.
A journey, our life truly is,
An everlasting staircase.

Falling down is natural,
getting up is a challenge.
Determination, your ally.
Doubt, your enemy.
Cast away all self-doubt,
for the end to be in sight.

改造のブログ。(かいぞうのぶろぐ)Kaizou no Burogu. trans. Remodeled Blog.

The irony of doing your own designing - whether its tinkering with the template you have or making your own - for your blog was at its peak for me this afternoon when I checked Blogger to realize that they had introduced a new feature: the Template Editor.

Don't get me wrong, I have nothing against it. But after finally adding my personal spin on the template I had going for me for a while I come to realize this latest feature. Meh.

On a good note, I'm proud to introduce my new layout! 8D Took me two days to figure out what color went where and to re-design the header and all that. ^__________^b I'll be sticking to this for quite a while until I learn my CSS and come up with a design all my own.
最後の休暇の金曜日。(さいごのきゅうかのきにょうび)Saigo no Kyuuka no Kin'youbi. trans. Last Vacation Friday.

The last full week of vacation couldn't be spent any better. For lunch today, I picked up Kai and we had lunch at Red Kimono, Techno Hub. Both of us were craving for some Tori Kamameshi. ^______^ Since we had an early lunch we were the only ones in the restaurant for quite a while.

I was obviously against the light here, hence this outcome. Tsk tsk Kai. xD

Just when it started raining we made our way back to my place to spend the afternoon before Kai's 4:30 class. We indulged ourselves with watching Team Batista 2 since she hasn't watched the two latest episodes yet.

Ah, I miss snuggling up with Kai. ~u~ And school's starting next Tuesday. Yei for allowance! >D

気晴らしの日。(きばらしのひ)Kibarashi no Hi. trans. A Day of Distraction.

After my insomnia last night I spend the day distracting myself from thinking about things - something I ended up writing down in that green ink in my precious Smartness runs in my Family notebook (refer to this post).

Today I did a few things that I basically haven't done during my short vacation without much plan: go downstairs and spend the afternoon playing Wii Sports. I believe I worked my left arm to the ground with all that, but that's the best way to let out your feelings. ^__^ I've even started playing with my Nintendo DS Lite again. Games besides Prince of Tennis that I finished last night when I couldn't sleep.

And also, I went and did some fandubs today. Not saying what they are exactly, as I did them for a few upcoming special occasions. ^_____^ All I'm hinting at is that it's for some dates next week. This weekend is counted. ^___^

子猫。(こねこ)Koneko. trans. Kitten.

Today I thought of sharing some pictures of my relative's kitten when we went to their place last Sunday. I daresay I'm not that fond of cats in general but when they're cute one couldn't really resist cooing at them now and again. And not to mention my own girlfriend is a kitty herself. :P

Here's the pictures I was talking about. Yei~

The kitten - whose name escapes me - slipped under the couches and preferred to stay there while we were around most of the time (explaining the second picture). xP

我々は一つです。(われわれはひとつです)Wareware wa hitotsu desu. trans. We are One.

I was browsing through my grade school yearbook earlier when I stumbled towards the last page where the graduation song, although with quite a few typographical errors, was printed.

We are One by Allan Pote.

It brought a smile to my face when I read the lyrics. Some of it made me tear up. ^u^

And because I have known you
My life will never be quite the same
May your spirit live through me.

The time we spent together
All the happiness and tears
All those many special moments
We'll keep mem'ries through the years.

*happy sigh* That was a nice stroll down memory lane. ~u~

Full lyrics here:

This song is hard to sing
because goodbye's are hard to say
But I know it's only for a time
We will meet again someday
The songs we left unsung
Will keep ringing in my heart
'Til the melodies keep echoing
And help me do my part

To let the light of our love shine
For all the world to see
May your joy and laughter
Become a part of me
And because I have known you
My life will never be quite the same
May your spirit live through me

The time we spent together
All the memories and tears
All those many special moments
We'll keep mem'ries through the years
And when it's time to meet again
I know you by your name
For a friendship lasts forever
And forever stays the same

Chorus:
We are one, we are one
In the name of the Lord
We are one in the spirit
We are on in our love
And because I have known you
My life will never be quite the same
May your spirit live through me
Live through me
チームバチスタ2:ジェネラルルージュの凱旋。(ちむばちすた2:じぇねらるるじゅのがいせん)Chimu Bachisuta 2: Jeneraru Ruju no Gaisen. trans. Team Batista 2: The Triumphant Return of General Rouge.

This epic medical J-drama is back with its second season. Nakamura Toru and Ito Atsushi reprise their lead roles as Shiratori Keisuke and Taguchi Kouhei here, their eyes set on a new team: The Emergency Team led by the genius Hayami Koichi, also known as the "General Rouge" portrayed by Nishijima Hidetoshi.

So far I've watched 9 of the 12 episodes, and I must say it's built up to its climax with its subtle mix of new and old; with the focus of a new team of doctors in the Emergency Center and their personal struggles and political tie-ups, along with a classic mix of the Shiratori-Gucchi combi. We're nearing the end but from here on out, the last three episodes are sure to keep the suspense going until the most opportune moment.

As a fan of the series, I can strongly admit that Team Batista never disappoints!! (TuT)b

評判。(ひょうばん)Hyouban. trans. Reputation.

Some random entry this time around. For lack of a topic to talk about, I turn to reputations. You never truly know how far your name has gone and who knows who you are and what exactly it is that strikes them about you until someone points it out to you. Sometimes it takes connections, other times just sheer luck, or ultimately, out of your own efforts to build a reputation.

Most of the time, we just end up surprised, I'd say. There can be so little opportunities to make yourself known to those you find near impossible to reach (the famous people you admire, for example) that sometimes they just come and go without you really noticing. When we grasp that opportunity and do make something out of it and be recognized, then I say that's a life worth living.

The phone I have right now is a Nokia 2690. No longer a sliding phone, nor is it blue, but its features are much better than the phone I have now, which I'll be selling soon to an interested buyer a.k.a. my girlfriend's mom. xD

Hooray for new phones~ (Don't be deceived by that thing on the screen. The light was fading and is not a crack xDDD)

大雨。(おおあめ)Oo Ame. trans. Heavy Rain.

We've entered the season of rainfall here in our tropical country, but rain never stays too long. There are incidents like yesterday when parts of the country experience a heavy downpour of rain for a few minutes before the skies clear up.

That's a bit like what happened to me yesterday. The wind was breezy and sky was grey. Rain was sure to pour sometime soon but waited until just the right moment - when I was getting down the first jeep to the second jeep home. And while on the road of that second jeepney ride, the rain stopped.

Doesn't give you a glimpse of how Ondoy was, but rain heavy or not is rain nonetheless. At least now our grass can grow happily with this now. xP

新しい戦隊シリーズ。(あたらしいせんたいしりず)Atarashii Sentai Shirizu. trans. New Sentai Series.

So recently while the Goseiger series are still incomplete I promised a friend I'd watch another sentai series. Particularly this one: Engine Sentai Go-Onger. This is basically the series prior to the epically popular Samurai Sentai Shinkenger.

The plot's quite interesting 4 episodes in. And with all the concepts of driving and machines makes it that much more appealing for me. I didn't know they used to broadcast this here in the Philippines! But original is best. So to Sosuke, Ren, Saki, Hanto and Gunpei, as well as Hiroto and Miu I've yet to see, gambatte and defeat those Gaiarks!

While waiting for the GPs (episodes) to load this afternoon for the lack of things to do, I'm munching down on some Nagaraya. ~u~

素晴らしい日。(すばらしいひ)Subarashii Hi. trans. Wonderful Days.

I was supposed to type up this entry yesterday but with the sudden urge of wanting to do a radio play of something - and even tried a hand at video blogging which I might get to sometime this month - I put it off. And I wasn't able to download the pictures and video I took with my digicam (named Ryouma, as all my other gadgets are thus named after Tezuka actors) until about 15 minutes before I went to bed at 10:30.

So I'm here to give you guys a late post on what happened yesterday. Note, yesterday. Okay.

After enlisting for my classes this coming semester, I went to school to pay the tuition and get the car stickers. And since Kai was going to school as well to settle things, we decided to meet up. It ended up with her accompanying me to school to get everything, and then have an early lunch at KFC. We walked most of the way, so she treated me to lunch. xD

Anyway, we were done with everything by 12nn, and she was supposed to meet her mom so they could commute home at around 4pm. So we still had 4 hours to kill, so we began discussion on some projects we've put off. As to what those are exactly, let's just say it's got something to do with Tenimyu so. ^.~

Here're some pictures from the day~ I swear with all the pictures today we plan to start a photobook. @.@

Fast forward to last night after I had dinner in all my lonesome, I enjoyed myself some ice cream with Hershey's Shell! If you guys know that syrup that freezes on contact with ice cream, that's it! Scrumptious! ~u~
