早期誕生日プレゼント。(そうきたんじょうびぷれぜんと)Sōki Tanjō-bi Purezento. trans. An Early Birthday Present.

Went to Gateway with Kai earlier today! Ate at our usual favorite restaurant Teriyaki Boy and availed of an Orange Card (which I'll be getting after 7 working days). We figured since we frequented the place might as well so we get free vouchers and what not! о(ж>▽<)y

Also, Kai got me a present! We went to Fully Booked and she got me another (yes another) copy of Death Note Volume 2 because it is just so uberly awesome, and my favorite by far. Of course, this is because L first showed his face to the task force and one cannot and should not overlook his cuteness in the panels! 8D So I now have a mint condition manga~ ヘ(゚∀゚*)ノ

SO NOW I HAVE TWO COPIES OH YEAH THAT'S RIGHT!  ☆ キタ━━━(゚∀゚)━━━!!!
私の哲学のクラス。(わたしのてつがくのくらす)Watashi no Tetsugaku no Kurasu.trans. My Philosophy Class.

So while I literally type up a quick entry for the day, I wanna talk about my Philosophy class. We had a little make-up class last Saturday to make up for future missed classes (sucks, right?), but what was interesting point out about this is the fact that i actually paid attention to what Fr. David was talking about, which is quite a surprise for me. (ノ゚ο゚)ノ

I got to follow his discussion earlier today and remembered what he discussed last Saturday.

*end shallow accomplishment rave*

xD That's about it for me for now. I need to rush off to my last class for the day since my 3pm class will be a free cut for the nth time. Will meet with Kai afterwards for lunch and time together. Hooray~

To end, a birthday greeting to the Tenipuri seiyuu of Fuji Syuusuke, Kaida Yuki! ('-^*)/

私のいとこと私。(わたしのいとことわたし)Watashi no Itoko to Watashi. trans. My Cousins and I.

I've got two younger cousins. Dabz and Jostin. Both of them, being the boys they are, outgrew me before I knew it. Heck, I don't even know when I became the butt of their jokes, but love can't be bought, and that's just their way of showing it. At least that's how I've come to realize.

While I don't have any pictures of our not-so-distant past (aka our little selves growing up), what I do have to share are pictures dating some 3 years past; which is always a testimony to the relationship and antics that my cohorts and I shared as cousins and as fellow partners-in-crime.

Warning: This is an image-heavy post! xD

Me and Dabz - May 29, 2008

May 31, 2008

I believe this was a celebratory dinner for Auntie Shiony's (Dabz's mom) birthday at their place. And yes, Dabz was playing Guitar Hero without facing the TV because it was a song he memorized.

Day 3 of our visit to Bangkok

July 28, 2010

Celebratory dinner at The Frazzled Cook for Auntie Joji who went to the States for a few weeks. Spy vs Spy reminded us a lot about Jostin, especially all the times he and Dabz played the game. xD

If there was one thing that the three of us liked to indulge in, it was the fantasy of roleplaying. We'd pretend to be these secret agents or whatever and letting our imaginations run free, always had a blast. While our years growing up were spent running around dodging invisible enemies and particles whenever we had the chance to spend time together during family get-togethers at different houses, our imagination grew along with us. It wasn't long before our seemingly random play dates became more and more constant (our characters, at least), and it developed into something of a story. Finally, we established Xhevix.

Allow me to pull my explanation from my fanfiction.net profile about this concept.

It all began with our original characters, Joe Ashter, Andrew Plasma and Joey Sandders. We three were hooked on playing adventures every time we had the chance to get together to plot. At times we would roleplay it right then and there. And then we began expanding the idea, adding both enemies and allies alike into the twist until eventually, there was a need to keep track of them all. And so began the creativity of three. What started out as just our three characters evolved into an expanding number of characters, with different abilities.

And guess how many we plan to make. 999. We've already done 800+ and counting!

To make the job a bit easier, we three split the work, dividing everybody into different groups. The enjoyable thing of creating new characters brought with it the task of thinking up of quirky names, outrageous abilities and awesome team logos (which are viewable here). We've also begun writing a story to go with it, but we can only do so much. At the moment, we're focusing on creating all the characters first. Pretty tedious, but it's a fun little project to spend time on when we can.

This was the same thing I talked about in this post. So for reference, you can consult The CADEX Files that is still currently under construction. xD

美貌のディテイル。(びぼうのぢている)Bibou no Diteiru. trans. Details of Beauty.

Today I was browsing some J-actor blogs. Stumbling upon Baba Ryouma's, a link to the new Takumi-kun Series movie intrigued me.

Takumi-kun 4: Pure will center on Baba Ryouma's character Misu Arata and his relationship with Shingyoji Kanemitsu. While Kawasumi Bishin introduced the role in Bibou no Detail he will not be reprising his role and will be taken over by Naitou Taiki, another Tenimyu actor who portrayed Akutagawa Jirou from Hyoutei Cast B.

I went searching for the one with English subs and found it on Veoh. The drama and mushiness in the end brought me to tears of joy. 。゚(T^T)゚。

Let me share a few exchanges shared by Saki "Gii" Giichi (played by Watanabe Daisuke) and Hayama Takumi (played by Hamao Kyousuke).
Takumi: When we were apart... was it hard on you, too?
Gii: Y-Yeah... Because my feelings for you haven't changed at all.
Takumi: Then let me help you! Share the weight you're carrying with me.
Gii: Takumi...
Takumi: Don't belittle me, Gii. I want to always share your happiness, your sadness, and your hardships with you. No matter how much we love each other, we're different people. So I can't tell what you're thinking. But that's exactly why I want to share so much with you.
Gii: Takumi...
Takumi: I love you. Gii.
゚・:,。゚・:,。★゚・:,。゚・:,。☆
Gii: Takumi, I have a favor to ask.
Takumi: What is it?
Gii: From now on, people are probably going to ask about how we got together. But even so... wil you stay by my side, no matter what? Will you be my partner in crime?
Takumi: That... sounds kind of like a proposal.
Gii: Just answer me.
Takumi: Okay... Gii. I'll be your accomplice. I'll be by your side forever.

クリスマス前のバザー。(くりすますまえのばざあ)Kurisumasu mae no Bazaa. trans. Pre-Christmas Bazaar.

Earlier today I met with Kai a while after my first weekly Philo group meeting with my new groupmates. Since she had a 4:30 class and had a short meeting at around 3, we met up after that and went to check out the second leg of the bazaar over at their school parking lot. As we were looking around she stumbled upon a skirt that she liked, as well as a bracelet.

And just because (which also ended up to be early Christmas presents), I purchased them for her. It's either I've been saving or I haven't been spending much yet this past week. Yei~

長い午後。(ながいごご)Nagai Gogo. trans. A Long Afternoon.

So yesterday (yes, on a Sunday) I met up with Kai to take her to her LAE or Law Aptitude Examination in UP Diliman that was to commence at 1 in the afternoon. She treated us to lunch at our usual Teriyaki Boy venue and enjoyed ourselves some salmon besides our individual meals of Teriyaki Boy Chicken Ju and Gyu-Yakiniku Don. To my surprise, she didn't take any wasabi, but I figured it was all due to the nervous wreck that she was prior to the exam. o(;△;)o

We get there at around 11:45 and we were quite surprised to see that a lot of other examinees were already there outside the Economics Auditorium. We waited until around quarter to 1 where they were already calling everyone in and once that happened, it was time for a long, long wait. (-。-;)

Since I wasn't really a UP Diliman student I had quite the opportunity to go around the academic oval (which I eventually did, taking roughly 35 minutes) and take several pictures at the Sunken Garden and a few other places. I'll edit this post with some of the pictures I took from then~ Pictures found below!

Other than that, I read a chapter or two of Deathly Hallows and played me some Phoenix Wright to pass the 4 hour wait. Finally, at a little past 5 in the afternoon, they came flooding out. T'was a good wait, I would think.

土曜日買い物。(どようびかいもの)Doyoubi Kaimono. trans. Saturday Shopping.

This morning I was woken up by my mother asking if I wanted to go with her and some of our relatives to do some Christmas Shopping, i.e. shopping for gifts off wish lists. With a sleepy nod, I agreed and it wasn't long before we were on our way to Greenhills. I wasn't surprised; the tiangge will always be crowded but in hindsight I really didn't think I'd find a couple of things that I did during this trip.

Perhaps one of the interesting things to note is that my mother purchased me a new pair of shoes from Planet Sports; a Mizuno brand and quite interestingly enough, the exact same design as my first pair, only of a different color for my birthday. I won't get them until then but it'll be one new pair to have. (。・ω・)ノ゙

Aside from that, I've been looking for a new bag to use for school and found one that caught my attention. This will be one of my aunt's gift for me as well. Also managed to find a few games as well to make better use of our family's Wii. ゚・゚*・(゚O゚(☆○=(`◇´*)o

Birthday's less than two weeks away, and Kai's LAE will happen tomorrow.
Connection? None.
Happy evening to all! (´∀`)

映画の夜。(えいがのよる)Eiga no Yoru. trans. Movie Night.

キタ━━━(゚∀゚)━━━!!!

So last night was thoroughly a night of epicsauce awesomeness! November 18 spelled the premiere of Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part 1, and it truly did not disappoint!! So as you may recall from one of my previous posts (Weird Weather), I purchased tickets for Kai and myself to watch the special screening of this movie in Gateway, and it was quite worth it~

Since the movie was set for 8pm and we got there almost an hour and a half earlier - finding a parking was not as easy as it was - we had just enough time to catch something eat; and what better way to do so than to feast on some Reyes Barbecue (for the nth time!).

I can't and won't give an all-out review of the movie for the sake of those who have yet to watch it, but what I WILL say that this movie is not for the faint of heart. It's rated PG-13 for a reason, so be prepared to be kept on the edge of your seats the entire length of the movie. If you go with a companion/girlfriend who gets scared at certain points (like Kai) and clings onto your arm at some points, don't be surprised if you find yourself in a vice grip. The movie tends to generate that kind of an effect as a substitute for screaming.

But yes indeed, this first part that covers about 2/3 of the book already contains all the drama, action and comedy that is unmistakably and uniquely J.K. Rowling. So kudos to the success of this first part, and looking forward to the epic finale on July 2011.

昨日と今日。(きのうときょう) Kinou to Kyou. trans. Yesterday and Today.

Yesterday was a holiday, so it was a nice break for the second week of school, since it meant no Philo or PolSci, haha. ( ̄▽+ ̄*)  But rather than spending the day lazing about, sudden plans of going out for dinner to celebrate my cousins' birthdays at Dencio's surfaced. And really, who COULDN'T say no to Krispy Sisig?! о(ж>▽<)y ☆

Quite the crazy gathering with good food, so all was satisfying~  :*:・( ̄∀ ̄)・:*:

AND TODAY IS MY KITTY'S BIRTHDAY!!! ヽ(゜▽、゜)ノ I'll be going to her house for dinner tonight. So that would be something to look forward to. Also, a birthday shout-out to Tenipuri seiyuu of Tezuka Kunimitsu, Okiayu Ryoutarou today as well!

デパートへの旅行。(でぱあとへのりょこう)Depaato he no Ryokou. trans. A Trip to the Department Store.

So today after class I met up with Kai and her mom and we took a trip to SM Marikina for a while and had a snack/early dinner at Reyes Barbecue.

T'was a short yet entertaining trip. We finally got our schedules printed, hooray~

私は何のクラスで学んだこと。(わたしはなにのくらすでまなんだこと)Watashi wa nani no kurasu de mananda koto. trans. What I Learned in Class.

So today my CS162b or Systems Programming lab class is (meaning I'm in class as I type this) meeting, and I'm finally sitting through a class under the 'great' Doc Mana; so as early as now, I, along with the rest of my classmates, have gotten a few good laughs about facts that just sound funny coming from Doc Mana.

Case in point:
More (Motif) vs. Less (Lesstif)

The verdict: Less is greater than More

The difference is best found on the command prompt, or so I understand. But the logic from a commoner's point of view is just hilarious. xD

散髪。(さんぱつ)Sanpatsu. trans. Haircut.

I got myself a haircut this morning after 8:30 mass. (@ ̄ρ ̄@)zzzz

I never really realized just how thick my hair is until I get a haircut. Howellz. Lemme share a picture like I usually do. Sorry if I seem sleepy here. I just got up from a nap. *squint* I think I see my Kyouya look here again.

珍味#10。(ちんみ#10)Chinmi #10. trans. Tidbit #10.

This is somewhat related to my previous post concerning my blockmates and our lunch out together. Just a little funny scene on our way over there to Shakeys.

It was raining, and since it was just walking distance, we all decided to walk, so we pulled out umbrellas and shared if necessary. The funny thing here is the fact that ALL those who took out umbrellas were of the color blue.... except for Robert's which was green.

xDD

It would have been a nice thing to capture in a picture from afar I say. Sadly it was raining. Oh well. Fun fun.

ブロック外出。(ぶろっくがいしゅつ)Burokku Gaishutsu. trans. Block Outing.

So these will be one of the few blog entries that aren't so random; quite true to life if I should say. (^▽^;) And with that being the case, I believe that it's only fitting that I give a more or less thorough explanation, which I don't think I've been able to do with my blog entries these days. I'm beginning to neglect the reason I started a blog, so here's my poor attempt to get back on track for a change.

Don't let the title deceive you; all we did was have lunch out (which we haven't done in a while, quite miraculously), and it really got me to realize a few things. But before I go to that, I need to hit rewind for a bit.

The setting right now is that we're juniors; third year college students who started off being one big ol' block comprising of 28 different personalities. I can still recall the humble beginnings when not everyone was quite that open with one another and just went their own way; a time when block unity held no meaning. But towards the end of that first year we interacted as a block and we got to know one another... to an extent.

Come second year (or even towards the end of freshman year) that number dwindled down to 26 when Jomar and Bok left for their own personal reasons. It quickly chopped off another one when AM shifted out as well. By around the summer of third year - or somewhere around that time - the block count dwindled further to 22 when Beau, Bea and Top shifted out as well.

Towards the end of second year Gie headed to Korea for an exchange program similar to the Junior Term Abroad or JTA program that Ateneo promoted that several of our blockmates availed of and proceeded to do so by the start of third year. Ben and Paul headed to Hong Kong, Tiff and Joyce to France and Jason much later on to Japan. Upon Jason's departure, the block count that remained dwindled further to 16.

Out of this 16, the 11 (Me, TC, Lev, Izza, Kim, Gabby, Robert, Vincent, Dar, Neil and Maan) of us, along with Beau, Bea and AM had lunch at Shakey's along Katipunan, which ultimately became a blowout care of Maan, who shared quite the not-so-shocking news, which, to some extent of privacy, I shall sum up to the fact that that number 16 of Block N is now 15.

。・゚゚・(≧д≦)・゚゚・。

Much that we expect our six currently-out-of-the-country blockmates to eventually come home in the coming months.... it's really sad to think about it, really. But what shouldn't be forgotten is the fact that amidst all this, there will always be the memories shared, however brief they may be. And I think that's the best thing to hope for.

Regardless of the choices we make that may lead us astray, the friends we've made along the way will always be there.:*:・( ̄∀ ̄)・:*:

I've taken day-to-day pictures up until my second year, so I've got a whole bunch of pictures to look back on. Maybe when time allows it I'll make a video compilation of it..... before I get a job graduation! ♪(*^ ・^)ノ⌒☆

変な天気。(へんあえてんき)Hen'na Tenki. trans. Weird Weather.

Three days into the second semester and for all three days, it's been raining like CRAZY! I mean, my poor converse shoes have been soaked from walking in the rain so much today. (@ ̄Д ̄@;) Huhuhu. My shoes are ruined... not really. My feet are tired. ヽ((◎д◎ ))ゝ

In lighter news, I picked up the tickets I reserved for me and Kai next Thursday for Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part 1~ A few school organizations collaborated to come up with this special screening so yeah.

I managed to get some good seats (if you can't see the seat number after squinting, it's E9 and E10 at Gateway), so it's all good. (^-^)/

九赤いバラ。(きゅうあかいばら)Kyuu Akai Bara. trans. Nine Red Roses.

So my little plan succeeded~ Walking to and from the flower shop earlier this morning to order them and then coming back in the afternoon and walking to Kai's school due to the traffic was a real workout! ( ̄へ ̄ 凸 *huff huff huff*

In the end, Kai was thoroughly rendered speechless by my presentation of the bouquet of nine red roses, so all was good!! (///∇//) (≧▽≦)

Yosh~

And for everyone's information, the meaning behind the quantity and color is as follows (taken from this wonderful site):

Red

Sincere Love & Respect, Courage & Passion

家族の夕食から。(かぞくのゆうしょくから)Kazoku no Yuushoku kara. trans. Family Dinner Out.

So today is the last day of my semester break. Tomorrow I go back to school to end my 3rd year of college life. To 'celebrate' the occasion my family and I went to a dinner out at Eastwood where we ate at Zao, a Vietnamese cuisine restaurant that had good fried chicken. (-^□^-)

Also saw some gashapon/capsule toys there since there was this Gundam Model Building event in the Eastwood Mall. What caught my interest were Shinkenger Origamis, Goseiger Headders and Goseiger phone accessories. I wanted to get one but I was short on cash. ゛(`ヘ´#)

土壇場には、計画。(どたんばには、けいかく)Dotanba ni wa, Keikaku. trans. Last Minute Plans.

So today was weird. Went to SMX with Kai and a few of her friends to try going to UP AME but lost the hype seeing the long line just to get in/buy tickets. So instead, Kai and I decided to head to the mall to spend the afternoon. This was her first time there so it was a real adventure.

(* ̄Oノ ̄*)

Had a very late lunch at old reliable Teriyaki Boy before taking a little stroll down to see the bay. On the way we spotted a Timezone and the Prize Cube game. What was new was a swaying owl that Kai managed to get for me! 8D (I only got to take the picture when I got home >< ) I named him Allen.
After that, we went to see the bay and saw some concession stands and entertainment stuff. But I just got some cotton candy while we spent some time taking pictures by the bay. o(TωT ) A dream date come true!

FINALLY, FINALLY, today marks a few J-actors' birthdays (at least those I bother remembering)! Tenimyu Seigaku 4th Cast's Tezuka Kunimitsu, Watanabe Daisuke and Team Batista no Eiko's Kiryuu Kyoichi, Ihara Tsuyoshi!! A happy birthday to the two of you!! ヽ(*・ω・)人(・ω・*)ノ

弟二学期。(だいにがっき)Dai Ni Gakki. trans. Second Semester.

School is kick-starting again next week. And I'm quite pleased with my schedule this time around since I was actually able to choose leisurely. At my school we're assigned a random number to determine the 'order' of enlisting for the upcoming semester. So the lower your number, the earlier you can enlist; and the earlier you can enlist, the more choices you have.

As compared to last semester where I was in the fourth (last) batch, this time around my random number was 33, so I was in the first batch~ (¯ ▽ ¯ + *) *bliss* So this time around my schedule was more lax with breaks in between every class~

And as I've been doing since the first semester, I made this little template to use for my schedule, as well as for Kai's (wah she's graduating this year! 。・゚゚・(≧д≦)・゚゚・。 ) ; as you can probably guess, pictures included are Tenimyu Seigaku 5th Cast Tezuka and Fuji from one of their photosets (I forget which one). But yeah, my schedule's up there. Theology (TH131), Political Science (POS100), Philosophy (PH102) and major subjects (CS124, CS162A and CS162B) this semester.

ミュジカル黒執事2。(みゅじかるくろしつじ2)Myujikaru Kuroshitsuji 2. trans. Musical Black Butler 2.

So I finally got my hands on a copy of the anticipated Kuroshitsuji musical today!! о(ж>▽<)y ☆
Ever since its premiere last May, waiting 5 months for the DVD release was a long wait indeed. Besides watching the performance of previous performers from the first musical (notably Matsushita Yuya and Uehara Takuya), I was very much looking forward to the performance of the new Ciel Phantomhive, Nishii Yukito. Familiar faces from other musicals surfaced here as well; Fujita Rei (FuumaMyu's Mibu Kosuke) and Yousuke Crawford aka Luke C. (Tenimyu's Kite Eishiroh) as Viscount Druitt and Ronald Knox respectively.

I must say there was a huge improvement in contract to the first musical! ヘ(゚∀゚*)ノ First of all, there's a lot more songs this time around; 15 awesome songs spanning the 2 hours!! The songs really took the cake here, actually. The first two songs alone sent goosebumps over my whole body!

There was definitely more comedy here too, especially with Uehara's excellent Grell performance, (guh my eyes have been tainted! (ノ゚ο゚)ノ ) as well as drama from two original Shinigami characters, Eric Slingby played by Taisuke Saeki and Alan Humphries played by Matsumoto Shinya. Ciel, although his exposure wasn't as vast, was well-performed and did not disappoint! (o^-')b

By far my favorite songs are Checkmate, Shinigami Haken Kyoutai no Theme and Keiyaku~ You can find them on YouTube if you're interested!

There's probably more I could say about this but for now I'll leave it at this. x) I shall go listen to the soundtrack now.
