To further commemorate my new laptop dubbed Jarvis, here's my first "official" picture taken with his trusty internal webcam, sponsored by Acer Crystal Eye. What's so special about this particular picture, you ask? Two things, so technically speaking, the peace sign I'm making has its double meanings.

The first is to chronicle the lilac polo t-shirt I got as a souvenir from my Auntie Lynda, who was visiting from Los Angeles for a few weeks here in Manila. This particular shade of purple reminds me fondly of a shirt that one of my favorite college professors often wore (shout-out to Ma'am Jess!). And considering Kai's favorite color is purple, it helps to have one that's easier on the eyes. I'm starting to see a pattern inthe polo t-shirts I acquire; they're all pastel or dark.

The second is to chronicle (and put into perspective), one of my more personal but very much worth it purchases to date: an Elephant Masterpiece Headphone from Data Blitz!

Frequency Response: 20Hz-20kHz
Impedance: 60ohms
Sensitivity: 115dB
Max Input Power: 5mW
Technical Specs:
Audio: 40 mm handmade drivers
Don't worry if the technical stuff confuses you. The sound is awesome and is pretty well priced at Php595. Pretty good too since it's collapsible into a nice neat soft case that comes with it. And the cord is durable, so it's sure to last.

So first was usual Saturday morning class. Woke up at 7, snoozed until 8, showered and drove off to class, thankful that Katipunan was not as crowded with the downtime of the ongoing Ateneo College Entrance Test or ACET. Got to school and parked by 8:40, in time for my 9am class that only lasted until about 11 in the morning so we could avoid traffic piling up with the rush of cars coming to and from Ateneo.

Since my parents were coming in later tonight I essentially had the rest of the afternoon to myself and decided to visit Kai again, who's sporting an aching sprain to her ankle. Spent the afternoon there until I went back home around 5:30 to wait for the parents to come back so the family can go out for a late dinner, which was at around 9pm. Mom had come back from Dubai and it could serve as an actual celebration for Dad's birthday last Wednesday~

We ended up eating at Red Kimono in Techno Hub. Ah, how rice makes you full. ~u~

Anyway, with every trip there's always some souvenirs, and here were mine~ Clockwise starting from top right I got a hat, a pack of KitKat Pop Choc, a blue Terner watch and a shirt. :D

Thanks mom!!! 8DD I shall happily nom the KitKat. ~u~

Dad just got back from visiting his mom in Belgium and came back with some awesome souvenirs. For starters, he got me a Brussels baseball cap. For someone who likes hats I have no complaints about adding more hats to the pile. And then there's the pièce de résistance: a Snowy keychain from my Auntie Trinket!

For people who don't know Snowy is Tintin's faithful companion and I've always liked him during my readings of Tintin comics once upon a time. It's a part of my childhood and we even had a dog named Snowy one time so having this makes me genuinely pleased. x)

Here's a picture!

お土産の話再び。(おみやげのはなしふたたび)Omiyage no Hanashi Futatabi. trans. A Talk of Souvenirs Again.

And I return in the evening to discuss the souvenirs from abroad. I didn't really take pictures of all of them (well, I did sans the many pairs of socks and shirts) to share, but here we go!

First to note is that my mom managed to get me the two things I asked for: the Chucks (though not the original red I wanted but awesome all the same!) and the watch!
Next to note are other bonus stuffs I received! I got two hats, one Death Note and one woolly hat for those cold chilly days/nights. I am slowly becoming accustomed to wearing hats (again) because of this new line of stuff. Cheers to variety! Very slowly I am increasing my hat collection. I think I need a new rack to hang all of them. xDD

My siblings had the opportunity to go to the Comic Con in San Diego while they were there, and my sister was kind enough to get me a Star Wars Storm Trooper plushie!! Hoorah for Star Wars! ^o^/

And then of course there's this nifty new wallet I snagged. No offense to my Death Note themed one but it was a nice wallet to pass up. @u@ Hee~

As you may notice, even the shirt I have on is new! Hoorah for new things.

So this morning I woke up to my 6:30 am alarm for breakfast. As much as a buffet it was, it really had a variety of foods to choose from! At least after looking around yesterday, I have a good idea of what I'm getting tomorrow. xDD

So this morning we went out to a city tour, visiting two temples and Gem Company amidst our little road trip around Bangkok. But since I didn't have the camera most of the time, I won't bother going into much detail, save for having to ring 44 (well, 41) bells at the second temple, supposedly for good luck. ^___^b

MBK was a nice place to be at afterwards. My sister recommended we eat at Pepper Lunch, ironically a Japanese restaurant where she, my mother and I ended up eating Chicken Pepper Rice as our lunch. xDD I have to admit, though, my sister was right. I should really think about taking Kai to one of the branches back in the Philippines on one of our dates. ^__^v The amakuchi (aka honey brown sauce) was delicious too!

Ahaha. After that, we had some Dairy Queen for dessert (though it was sad that they didn't have Kit Kat. DDD8) before we all went about our ways browsing MBK for things to buy. And boy was there a selection! xDD

Here's a list of the things I bought for me and/or for Kai!
The first thing I bought was a hat worth THB250 for myself!! Hahahaha. I've been looking around for this, and I'm glad I finally found one~ Wheeeee~

Next thing I bought was a shirt for Kai. I didn't take a picture of it since I wanted it to stay in the plastic. But the shirt color is red and the design is of two dogs. 8D

After that, my sister and I spotted our dad miraculously amidst the crowd before we headed upstairs a floor to look at all the gadgets and gizmos where my dad suggested my sister looks for a case for her iTouch. I piped up about a DS to my dad and we looked around for a while for a reasonable price.

In the middle of our search, I found this Animob container worth THB120 whose design just reminded me so much of Kai I just had to get it for her~

Not too far from there, my dad was talking with one of the clerks about a Nintendo DS and we agreed that we'd purchase that! 8DD After all, spending THB3900 on it with the package sounded like a good deal. ^__^b A little downside was that I had to spend some time choosing the 40 games, and I spent the other half of my trip money plus a few from the money I still had for it but at least I already have it!! 8DD (Note: I wasn't really playing with the DS here. I was just posing. xDD)

After that, we regrouped at the ground floor where I browsed around the souvenir store and ended up purchasing Kai a panda hat worth THB220. Since it couldn't fit me, it'd fit her just right (I think xD)!

The last thing I got before we left were two bracelets worth THB80 each; one for myself and one for Kai. Wheee. And finally we headed back to the hotel to rest.

Our evening trip was out to the Loy-Krathong Festival near the Pagoda. 8D We got to experience making a wish and setting our krahtongs down into the river and watched them floated off. What I found nostalgic about it all was that back in my 2nd year of high school, we celebrated an Asian Festival where my class was assigned the country of Thailand. The song we sang was what you'd call the theme song of the festival. When our tour guide, Popeye sang it in the shuttle, I remembered. xDD

So yes. Afterwards, we headed to the night market for a while to browse around before heading back to the hotel. I got to experience room service with my mom and enjoyed some carbonara! Mmmmmmmmmm~

Day two was just as tiring, but altogether another fun day. ^__^b
