運命。(うんめい)Unmei. trans. Destiny.

DESTINY. The title of Seigaku 5th Cast's ballad. I finally got my hands on the soundtrack of Final Match Second (big thanks to the TeniMyu LJ Community!). My first agenda as soon as I got the tracks was to listen to this particular song. Yukio and Toru told me to pay particular attention to this song when I asked about it because they thought it was a perfect testimony to a lot of the things that were happening. "Could be applied to the friendship we have now" or somewhere along those lines.

So I listened. I tried transcribing the lyrics (I had scans of the booklet that came with the soundtrack from the same community) but of course playing things by ear can be tricky. So I searched around and stumbled upon the English translation from a frequent poster to the community, fencer-x. I asked if I could use her translation, so credit to her for that!! ^_________^b

I WAS IN BLISS WHEN I FOUND THE ENGLISH TRANSLATION. ;A; It was so..... beautiful. I couldn't agree with Yukio and Toru enough. (>~<) I loved the soundtrack so much I immediately put the songs on my iPod to listen to. In that picture I'm listening to DESTINY. (~u~) Love love love it!

Here's the lyrics. Kanji, romaji and English~

It's like we, who were born in different places,
Have managed to come together as one here, like brothers.
You're you, and I'm the same old me.
We became friends even while wandering confused.

同じ時を過ごして甘えが責任となり
お互いを助け合うことや
支えあうことを学んだ
宿命運命それとも必然
お前の涙は俺の悔しさ
お前がいてくれてよかった
Onaji toki wo sugoshite amae ga sekinin to nari
Otagai wo tasukeau koto ya
Sasaeau koto wo mananda
Shukumei unmei soretomo hitsuzen
Omae no namida wa ore no kuyashisa
Omae ga ite kurete yokatta
Sharing the same time, our neediness became responsibility
And we learned things like helping each other along
And supporting one another.
Perhaps it was fate, or destiny--or maybe just inevitable.
Your tears became my own frustration.
I'm so glad you were there.

Omae no ii toko warui toko subete
Wakatte iru no sa tomodachi dakara
While we were together, I came to accept the parts of you that annoyed me
As an irreplaceable aspect of your individuality.
I understand all your good and bad points
Because we're friends

繋がるよ心が結びあってく思い
束ねた思い出の数だけでかくなってく結び目
Tsunagaru you kokoro ga musubiatteku omoi
Tabaneta omoide no kazu dake dekaku natteku musubime
Like being tied to one another, our feelings bind us together
And the sheer number of memories bundled together grows huge and forms a knot.

Your smile is my courage
It's great, having gotten to know you.

Starting tomorrow, I'll be on my own way
Walking for the first time with my back to you.
I won't have you beside me anymore.

折鶴。(おりづる)Orizuru. trans. Folded Paper Cranes.

Yesterday I made some paper cranes; one of the first origami stuff I learned how to do a few years back. ^^v Made them out of some old receipts. xD They're so small and cute >u

For a short time in the past I became interested in origami, buying books to fold some cool stuff. One of my favorite stuffs was folding origami monsters~

珍味 #1。(ちんみ#1)Chinmi #1. trans. Tidbit #1.

Time I brought back the Tidbit page. But instead of sharing trivia from before, it'll be those little snippets of stuff I find amusing. Here's the first.

I most always take a shower in my parent's room. Earlier this evening I did just that. When I settled back in my room after getting dressed, my mom was like "You're finished already? Why didn't I see you?"

"I passed by. I even blocked the TV for a few seconds."

"I didn't see you. Even Daddy says he didn't see you! You teleported, didn't you?" She laughs and goes back into their room.

Yeah, mom. I teleported. xP

考えを俳諧。(かんがえをはいかい)Kangae wo Haikai. trans. Wandering Thoughts.

For the lack of anything else to do (and procrastinating while doing so), I decided to type a random entry today about my little inquiries concerning the group of people I've been a fan of for almost two years: the group that is TeniMyu. With the 21 musicals they's done so far (not counting Dream Live 7th that just finished its first run in Kobe), it's a wonder how close all those actors get in the time they spend with one another.

I was talking with Toru yesterday and he says he's quite a big fan of the franchise and was lucky enough to have watched a few musicals when they came out; particularly when Seigaku 4th cast took the stage (that's from Progressive Match Higa - Dream Live 6th).

He and I were talking about this little collage I made of TeniMyu that Yukio asked me to do for him composed of different pictures of the actors. Doing that little project helped me realize one thing: IT STARTS AND ENDS WITH TENIMYU. I've noticed in the line of musicals, dramas and what-have-you that goes on in the entertainment buzz of Japan, it all leads back to this musical where a grand cast of about 133 people (I counted xD) have starred in.

Putting into consideration the other projects these actors engage in before or after their time as part of the TeniMyu cast, it wouldn't be a surprise if they become the center of interconnections in the J-drama world. Each individual actor pulls in others not part of the TeniMyu franchise, and in contrast end up expanding their connections in the long run. A nice system, I'd imagine. ^___^b

Here are a few examples:
Shirota Yuu (but of course he gets first dibs!), 2nd cast Tezuka Kunimitsu, starred in quite a number of J-dramas and still continues to do so even today! Some of the dramas to mention would be: Team Batista no Eiko, the Koshonin franchise (series and movie), Rookies (and its movie Rookies: Sotsugyou) and Samurai High School (aka Samurai Seventeen).

Aiba Hiroki, 2nd, 3rd and for a short time 5th cast Fuji Syuusuke, has a few of his own movies and series to brag about: Sukitomo, Tadashii Ouji no Tsukurikata and as Ikenami Ryuunosuke in the popular sentai series Samurai Sentai Shinkenger.

Watanabe Daisuke, 4th cast Tezuka Kunimitsu, is best known outside the TeniMyu universe to replace Kato Keisuke as Saki Giichi in the Takumi-kun Series movies 2 and 3. He stars opposite Hamao Kyousuke, 4th cast Kikumaru Eiji, who plays Hayama Takumi, as well as Agri in the newest sentai series Tensou Sentai Goseiger.

Furukawa Yuuta, 4th cast Fuji Syuusuke, starred in Fuuma no Kojirou and its musical counterpart, and will become a Kamen Rider in an upcoming Kamen Rider Trilogy movie.

Sakamoto Shougo, 4th cast Echizen Ryouma, won the role of Ciel Phantomhive in the first Kuroshitsuji musical, starring alongside Aoyagi Ruito, Original Hyoutei Cast's Mukahi Gakuto and Uehara Takuya, Shitenhouji A Cast's Oshitari Kenya.

Saito Takumi, Original Hyoutei Cast's Oshitari Yuushi, is most famous for his sash of yaoi movies, co-starring with Aiba Hiroki in Sukitomo, with Kotani Yoshikazu, 2nd cast Kawamura Takashi, in Boys Love.

It's sometimes interesting as well that there are some J-dramas or J-movies where the main cast is composed entirely of TeniMyu actors!!

Here's a few I know:
Tokyo Ghost Trip
Yagami Ren (Original Rikkai Cast's Yukimura Seiichi), JURI (Yamabuki's Original Akutsu Jin), Takiguchi Yukihiro (3rd Cast's Oishi Shuuichiro), Kiriyama Renn (Original Rikkai Cast's Marui Bunta) and Baba Ryouma (5th Cast's Tezuka Kunimitsu), plus Shindou Gaku (Rokkaku's Kurobane Harukaze)

Takumi-Kun III: Bibou no Detail
Watanabe Daisuke, Hamao Kyousuke, Takiguchi Yukihiro, Baba Ryouma, Acaba Mio (Rikkai 2 Cast's Marui Bunta), Saito Yasuka (Higa Cast's Hirokoba Rin) and Bishin Kawasumi (Shitenhouji B Cast's Zaizen Hikaru)

Cafe Daikanyama
Aiba Hiroki, Baba Toru (Original Rikkai Cast's Yagyuu Hiroshi), Kiriyama Renn and Ookawa Genki (Original Rikkai Cast's Kirihara Akaya)

Life must be a hoot for them. xD
車の事故。(くるまのじこ)Kuruma no Jiko. trans. Car Accident.

Now before anybody starts panicking, I want to make it clear that I'm absolutely fine. No physical injuries whatsoever. ^^b I have my license as well; wasn't confiscated since I was what you'd call the victim of the accident.

So lemme fill in the details of this little event that happened earlier on my way to school. There was this guy who had just made a U-Turn and was veering to the right just when I was passing, so impact = dent in the front driver's door. -_______-

Of course we both pulled to the side and talked about it. I didn't really get that much angry since I wasn't exactly injured - but I realized I should have been 'specially when I realized that that caused the handle of the driver's seat to be almost inaccessible from the outside. Dammit.

Anyway, this van stopped and the driver was saying how the guy who collided with me - a student like me, I'd think - had a hit-and-run situation earlier somewhere further along the road; he had bumped into this motorcycle where the dude got injured in the process and swore he didn't see him. Same excuse he had with me, actually. Panicked and there. Ugh.

Called up Dad and had him talk with the kid, and we agreed to just have his family pay the expenses. We had a lengthly discussion with the good old MMDA cop who came to the scene about how things went, asking me to consider filing a police case against them especially with regards to insurance in the future. Car repairs aren't exactly cheap ya know. ;A;

EDIT: Look what happened. ;A;

Thankfully everything is still okay and working. I'm thankful that I can still lock/unlock the car with the key, though it's a tight squeeze.

We'll figure things out tonight/tomorrow since I have to stay in school until 7pm today since the car's coding. Not all that long of a wait now~ ^^b Right now I'm chilling in the school library.

統一作法選挙。(とういつさほうせんきょ)Touitsusahousenkyo. trans. Nationwide Local Elections

A long name, I realized. xD But yeah. Elections were hectic today. My family and I (my siblings and I + my dad as first time/re-registered voters) went to our assigned precinct place relatively close to the house to vote. The heat, the long lines and the waiting was quite the challenge. Indelible ink is annoying too. -.-

I guess we could thank my dad (and his short patience) for getting us to move along and get a number to fall in line to vote and finished quite soundly. What had us wait so long was my mom who was in a different precinct, different building (it was just in one school).

My primary complaint about it was that there was no actual system, so everybody was moving back and forth, looking for numbers to fall in line. Absolutely no organization, if not just a little. Guh.

After lunch at Flapjacks, Techno Hub, we headed back home, now enjoying the aircon in my parents' room. ^^b

行楽。(こうらく)Kouraku. trans. Outing/Pleasure Trip.

So yesterday I spent the day with my girlfriend Kai and two of our friends Dai and Eki. We went to play badminton in Celebrity Sports Club for about two hours. A 3-set doubles match with Kai and I vs. Dai and Eki. We took the first set while they ended up winning the next two sets. The second set was pretty close with a score of 20-22. Then there were a few single matches. Me vs. Dai, Eki vs. Kai, Me vs. Eki and Dai vs. Eki.

I'm happy to report I won both of my singles matches. ^___________^b

Afterwards we took a cab to Eastwood. We ate an early dinner in one of the restaurants in the new mall: Momo! Cafe. The servings were big (always great for sharing), and same goes for the glasses they used for water. The ones they would typically use for milkshakes or halo-halos. xDD Hahahaha.

After dinner we settled our food for a little bit when we noticed a few booths outside. There was an inflatable slide for the kids, a surfing game and a MECHANICAL BULL. All of us were interested and decided to try it out. After all it was just Php60 a try. So we all gave it a go. First was Kai. She managed to hang on for a good 31 seconds. Then it was me. I got to hang on for 38 seconds. Woohoo~ After me was Dai, who hung on for 21 seconds. And strangely during Eki's turn the bull was being very very rough, but managed to hang on for 27 seconds. Wheeeeeeeee~

Then we ended up going to Timezone shortly after a quick browse at the bake sale where Dai bought something for her mom for Mother's Day. It's so fun to stay at the karaoke booth to sing. ^^ I got to sing First Love, Hello and No Air among others for my favorite girl~ -^^-

Oh yeah. HAPPY MOTHER'S DAY TOO ALL THE MOMS!!! :D

It’s time to go back to the craze for a little bit. While (still) waiting to acquire a copy of Final Match Rikkai Second (my friends from Japan tell me I’ve missed half of my TeniMyu life not having watched it yet T~T), I’ll set my sights for this finally final TeniMyu. At least until Ueshima-sensei decides to do Shin TeniPuri. xD

They’ll be having two three day shows; from 5月7日~5月9日 (May 7-9) in Kobe, and 5月20日~5月23日(May 20-23) in Yokohama. I wish the TeniMyu cast good luck! ^o^/ Summer classes will be over for the last show so Kai and I have this wishful thinking of being able to go watch it. DD8

Yei for wishful thinking~

弁当。(べんとう)Bentou. trans. Boxed Lunch.
Anybody who's familiar with Japanese culture would know what a Bento is. It's a home-packed meal. Dad brought home a bento from his Nagoya flight and told me to eat it.
Here's a picture of the box. It was in the refrigerator so I don't expect to finish everything inside. Cold foods aren't my type of food. ><
And here's the bento a little into after I started eating. I sank right in to devour one of the Futo Makis. xDD
I guess I focused mostly on the sushi and maki in this bento more than anything else. It was authentic, so to speak. So appropriate. ^__^v
Here's me having some shake (I think it's shake aka salmon >>) sushi~ The sushi weren't pressed properly. -.-
When I'm in better appetites I'm going to start trying new Japanese dishes.
卒業(そつぎょう)Sotsugyou. trans. Graduation.
No, not mine. Unfortunately, I'm not graduating for another two years. Fortunately, I still get allowance so it's all good.

I'm here to talk about my siblings' grad party held last Sunday. As was customary with things here in the Philippines, it started late. Not that I minded, of course. I was able to bring Kai along and Tristan kept us busy.

Once the guests arrived and began filling the function room, the program went underway. Dinner was delicious and the program was fun and entertaining thanks to my eldest cousin. My first time leading a toast in a formal celebration and I was joined by one of my other cousins. Went pretty well, but I'm never good with public ad-libbing. (-.-||)

There was a theme for the party. "What is your profession?" Come in your desired profession. I was pretty random, and nobody really asked me what I was. But I was aiming for a graphic artist/web developer, and we all know there isn't much of a set attire for that. xP

The end of the party had a photobooth set up by my cousins. We had four pictures taken and they were printed on sticker paper. It's one of the concepts my cousins had (Plug in! KwadzEvents) The loot bag per person was the sticker, a kwadz notebook and other lil' stickers. Pretty awesome.

Got the soft copy of the pictures to share with you all! ^______^b

So I guess I can expect a celebration like this too in two years' time.

I seem to have been doing this a lot, but I find it a tad bit difficult to sleep lately. And while some people would scold me for that, I guess it's just because there are a couple of things that just don't want to go away. And it's not something an instrumental playing over and over will cure, either.

So what am I talking about this time? Well, I just up and realized that one day when I do travel on my own with Kai, I'd want us to escape to Japan and never come back. Harsh as that may sound, I'm semi-serious. (I talked about it briefly here in a previous entry: Japan!) Besides, I'm sure we could ask some of our friends there to help us find a place to stay - house-hopping isn't such a bad idea~ - and we'd be experiencing a culture we've admired for so long first-hand during our stay. ^^

I actually came online hoping that one of our friends would come online for a little bit. What you do with friends who have ESP, I have no idea. But I told myself I'd only be staying for 30 minutes before I tried to get some sleep again. A lot on my mind came up earlier that I burst into tears, actually. ^^;;

Well. that's about it. Happy Labor Day to everybody. Just a few more weeks of summer classes. ^^v
I was browsing through my LiveJournal account (friends only!) and realized that I had more tendency to type up an entry about any subtle happening if I was in the mood for it. Where did those days go? ;A; I wouldn't really blame school to be a factor because a number of the entries I typed up detailed events (usually conversations) that happened back in high school.

Maybe I should start trying to do that again. Make this blog as active as I could. Take some pictures here and there. ^__^ (I was inspired by the J-Actor blogs I've been following xD)

Starting right now.

Earlier the second power out happened. It's such a pain because it cuts off the conversations I have with Kai and some of my Japanese friends. Today I was chatting with Yukio. He was telling me to sleep early (he and his friends care for us that much ^^b), and I was trying to make plans with Kai for tomorrow. But the power out happened, so I wasn't really able to finish conversation with either of them. *le sigh* These power outs come in the most uncanny timing. In the middle of the night.

In two days my siblings will be having their graduation party.... and I still haven't the faintest idea of what I'm wearing to the event. What's my desired profession, anyway? Does it even have a particular type of clothing? I have no idea. Hopefully I'll think of something before Sunday. In line with that, my mom told me to prepare something to say. So I was thinking of doing that now but my brain is starting to give me a massive headache to think straight so I'll probably postpone that to tomorrow.

Procrastination must run in the family.

Here's to hoping Kai and I get to go out and watch Iron Man 2 tomorrow. ^^

おやすみなさい~
(Good night~)
April 29, 2010

Power fluctuated last night. Quite frequently. And it took about an hour before power finally came back. AT QUARTER TO MIDNIGHT.

It was dark as hell around the house, and not wanting to screw my eyes even more than I already do on a daily basis staring into the illuminated screen of my laptop, I decided to just listen to music from my iPod.

After a while, I heard some other music coming from the bathroom. My sister came out from a cold shower and was playing some tunes from her iTouch.

Goes to show that when in the dark, get emo and go listen to music. xDD

On the way home from school and already along our street there was this annoying thing that happened. There were these two kids who had balloons and stuff waiting outside someone's door; a girl and a boy. The girl was ringing the doorbell while the boy was throwing pebbles into the road.

The boy, having no regard for the consequences of his actions, picked up some pebbles and threw them at the car that was passing: aka ME. They hit the windshield and the roof. No scratches or cracks, thankfully.

-_______-

*mutters about stupid kids doing stupid things*

Anyway, it's finally raining!!! Not a massive downpour but a gentle steady fall of rain. I've been waiting for this all summer. It was getting too hot. @.@

And now I'm eating dinner alone. For the second night straight. *chomps on the fried chicken*

....and by tumbler I mean an actual tumbler and not a Tumblr account that is non-existent.

Let me tell you a little info about this green tumbler I owned for about 3 years. I was invited to attend a week-long Summer Camp in DLSU College of Computer Science along with a few other batchmates. It was a great time when I met quite a number of my future schoolmates in ADMU.

Now what does this green tumbler of mine have anything to do with it? Well, I earned it for receiving the Early Bird Award at the end of the camp (which was dong by voting among us campers). xD

Shallow reason but hey, it works.

But then again it's telling me to find a new tumbler. Or get airconditioning installed into my room.

I was listening to my iPod earlier since I couldn't sleep and came up with this poem. This time around you never know what I may be talking about, so I leave you all to figure it out; who I dedicated this poem to.

The Family, A Family

I knew not the day, nor even the year,
when the tears that fell held meaning.
Not of sorrow but of joy,
perhaps the first conscious effort.
Overflowing, the tears fell,
almost unexplainable.

String and woodwind duet,
accompanied with emotion and sincerity.
A heavenly sound is created,
appealing to the soul.

Not a need, nor a want,
but yet I received.
At ease it brought me,
reminding me much of how to love.

The family, a family I recall,
comprised of the me that is I.
To be a daughter, or perhaps a son,
is what I want to exemplify.
To love... and love wholeheartedly,
just as sincere as the song I hear.

To the daddy and the mommy I love,
please continue to love me.
For everything that I am,
for everything that I'm not,
and absolutely everything in between.

I met with Kai today and joined the family to dinner at The Old Spaghetti House in Techno Hub. Techno Hub has these decorative balls laid out that light up the different colors at night. So Kai and I took some pictures with them and came up with these:

Of course you can't see us since we didn't use flash, but what was important was the colors. I was with the red and Kai was with the blue. ^___________^b

Shinken Red and Shinken Blue!! (two different shades) xDDD

Mojikara Power!!! ^o^/

Oh yeah. Happy graduation to my two older siblings!!!!

Hai, two days ago I had a spontaneous meeting with Kai. We went to have some yogurt at Frutti Froyo where we each had our own cup to spend on. And as usual, hers weighed more than mine. xDD

Hai, here's a picture of today's treat. A little something to make some of my friends in Japan jealous. >D

Gummy bears, oreos, and my usual repertoire of toppings on my chocolate yogurt. This reminded me not to mix gummi bears with yogurt again. It takes too much time to consume and ultimately gets the yogurt to melt. xDD

After that we went down for some Starbucks where Kai treated me to a Chocolate Cream Chip Frappucino. And her debt slowly decreases by Php145. xDD She came over to dinner as well to spend some lost time together. ^__^b

Yesterday I woke up to lunch to find that my mom had once again purchased that platter of sushi from the grocery that I always liked. And who am I to resist? Now that I think about it, I was never a big fan of maki/sushi/sashimi until that faithful day back during the preparations for the JSP Week in my freshman year.

Since then I've been open to try sushi, especially with Kai when we go to eat out at our usual Teriyaki Boy outing.

Last night was a different story. My dad had come home from Japan and brought along an authentic Japanese meal with some sushi and Futo maki. It was interesting to see them, and even more delicious tasting them for the first time. ^____^v

This makes me excited to go to Japan even more now. xDDD Wheeeeee.

Note: I hate wasabi!!! DDDDDD< *doesn't like the spiciness in my mouth* o(><)o

Everybody's got plans to go to do whatever they wanna do after college. Bum around, find a job, travel the world, join a game show, what have you. Point of the matter is, there will always be that one ideal thing that a person wants to do; individually, with somebody they love or with someone they promised to do something with.

For my bit, there's only one general idea I want to do when I graduate from college: Go to Japan with Kai!!

It's a long-term plan. There's plenty to do and people to meet! If we're really lucky we can meet our favorite actors and get to see them during their projects which we're sure to look out for while we're there! I'd very much like to meet some of the friends we've had the privilege of chatting with online like Yukio, Kazuo, Tsuyoshi, Hibiki, Toru and Koji. @u@

For now we'll settle with chatting, and hope we get to eventually find our way over to the Land of the Rising Sun together. ^__________________^v

Yesterday Kai and I went to Ozine Fest 2010. It was quite a blast, even though our costume wasn't 100% complete. ^__^

Here's a picture of us~ This year we cosplayed Sebastian and Ciel in disguise during the Jack the Ripper Arc and their visit to Viscount Druitt's party from Kuroshitsuji. Once we fix up our costumes, we'll be back to attend this year's UP AME with these same costumes. Look forward to it!!
During our walk around the con, I spotted a pair of Mix-style headphones! :D

So today I went to school to pay for my summer tuition (some 30K). I didn't really plan on anything else but that until Kai texted, asking if we could see each other today after her first day of OJT (on-the-job training) at ABS-CBN. So I thought why not.

Because there was no available parking in Teriyaki Boy, Katipunan, we relocated to SM Marikina where there was another branch that was practically empty. Ah the convenience of early dinners inside the malls. ~u~

And since it was early we suddenly decided to watch a movie. We did a coin toss since we couldn't decide between How to Train Your Dragon and Diary of a Wimpy Kid, both showing at 5pm. Diary won by the call of Kai's 25cents coin and so we purchased tickets. There weren't much people so picking a seat in the free-for-all wasn't much of a problem.

Now, I'm not all a fan of the series. I don't think I've ever read any of it sans the Do-It-Yourself book I skimmed through that I bought for Kai last January. But I definitely enjoyed watching it through.

Can't wait to pick up our costumes tomorrow afternoon! I think I'll go for a haircut tomorrow too~ ^___^b
Last Sunday was Easter Sunday. And as was tradition with our family, we had our annual Easter Egg Hunt. Candy and prizes galore~

This was one of the prizes I won this year:

This reminded me of Agri from Tensou Sentai Goseiger... whose snake was painted by Alata. xDD

At the pier heading back to Manila. Matching shirts!~
I've been feeling unwell these past few days. I should really take that afternoon nap to get red of it.

And let's not forget having to take that Robitussin cherry flavored syrup and Decolgen and Strepsils. And sleep. And more sleep. Hm.

Maybe after enlistment. Just another hour.
